What do you have to do?<\/h3>\n

Proceed as usual: Leave to dry for 1 – 2 weeks at approx. 18 – 20\u00b0 C until there is approx. 10 – 12 % residual moisture in the stored goods or 62 % humidity in a closed container. In order for the bags to function as expected, you must not fill the bags completely, but fill them to a maximum of 75 %; the bags need the remaining 25 % to breathe. This is crucial for the function. To be on the safe side, check for condensation in the first few days (if this is the case, the filling material was not yet dry enough) and, if this is the case, open the bag again for an hour, for example, wipe away the water and repeat this process until no more water condenses. It is therefore a good idea to determine the moisture content as reliably as possible beforehand.<\/p>\n

What do you get?<\/h3>\n

  • Moisture regulation of 58 – 62 % upwards and downwards and thus protects<\/strong> against yield-reducing weight loss <\/strong>due to drying out on the one hand and against total loss due to mold on<\/strong> the other<\/li>\n
  • The TerpLoc bags are odor-tight, which also means minimal loss of terpenes and active ingredients<\/strong>. This environment promotes and protects the ripening process<\/strong> <\/li>\n
  • They can be ironed shut, even if the zip fastener is already very good, ironing them shut offers maximum protection for a longer storage time<\/strong>. An iron is suitable for this, but a foil sealer will of course also work. This significantly delays<\/strong> the degradation of active ingredients <\/strong>compared to storage in glass jars or Mylar bags, the manufacturer speaks of 50 – 90 % <\/li>\n
  • The oxygen in the TerpLoc bag is minimized and the associated loss of flavour due to oxidation of oils is prevented<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • The bags do not<\/strong> need to <\/strong> be stored in a dark room<\/strong> due to the UV protection, temperatures around 18 – 20\u00b0 C are best suited for storage<\/li>\n
  • The antistatic film of the TerpLocs prevents valuable harvest parts from being left behind in a container, especially with resinous herbs<\/li>\n
  • Smaller branches in the herbs do not easily damage the bags, they are puncture-proof<\/strong>, so all the advantages of the bag are retained and secure the next point:<\/li>\n
